HELP US GET SOLAR
TOTAL COST OF PROJECT – $15,000
Kitengela experiences regular power outages, which can damage fridges, CCTV and other appliances. Solar power and battery storage will help reduce electricity costs and support a more sustainable site.
Solar and battery systems will also help keep power available during critical times, including events held at the house.

Hussain is currently studying Form 4, his final year of high school. Next year, he would like to study ICT and continue building his future through education.
Hussain enjoys soccer and also helps around the house with soccer preparation, kitchen duties on Thursdays, and watering the garden.
Sponsorship for Hussain is $2,500 per year. This amount may change depending on the course he chooses next year.

HELP US BUILD A SUN / RAIN SHADE
TOTAL COST OF PROJECT – $4,000
Kitengela can be extremely hot in summer, and the current shade is not suitable for rain.
A permanent sun and rain shade will help make the outdoor space more comfortable and suitable in all kinds of weather.
This project will replace the temporary tarp with a safer and more practical purpose-built shade structure.

$3,500 FOR THE FULL COURSE
Dunstan first joined Jifunze as a student in the Utimishi Primary School Garden Program. Since then, he has assisted with programs, cleaning, and cooking and has completed odd jobs through Jifunze to help pay for his high school education.
Dunstan would like to complete an Electrical Wireman course, which runs for 16 months. His hobbies include running, journalism, and cycling.
Sponsorship for Dunstan is $3,500 for the full course. This cost includes the required tools and internship costs.

The current toilets are in poor condition and are not suitable for the number of young people and teams attending educational events at Jifunze House.
