Leadership Camp 2025
Badilika Camp – Learning, Growth and New Experiences
Our second leadership camp was held at Bunduz Safari Camp in Kiserian. Building on the success of our inaugural camp, we had more time to expand the program and introduce participants to a wider range of practical, educational, and personal development activities.
The camp provided young people with opportunities to develop new skills, build confidence, learn about health and wellbeing, and enjoy new experiences in a supportive environment.
Camp Activities
This year we introduced several new activities, including beekeeping and gardening. We also welcomed a swimming coach who stayed with us throughout the camp and provided a number of swimming lessons for participants.
Other activities included:
Beekeeping and gardening
Swimming lessons
Movie night
First aid training
HIV awareness
Respect for women
Sexual health education
Art of Living: breathing and sound sessions
A friendly football match with a Division Two team from Nairobi
Through these activities, participants were encouraged to develop practical skills, teamwork, confidence, respect, and greater awareness of their health and well-being.
Creating New Experiences
"Badilika" means "change" reflecting the purpose of the camp: creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and experience positive change.
From learning to swim and exploring agriculture to discussing health, relationships, and respect, the camp provided participants with experiences and knowledge they could carry with them beyond the program.
Our Partners
We sincerely thank Rotary e-Club One for helping sponsor the Badilika Camp. Their support helped make this program possible and provided young people with valuable opportunities for learning, personal development, and new experiences.
We are also grateful to the coaches, educators, health professionals, volunteers, and community members who shared their time, skills, and knowledge throughout the camp.
